I am not able to take this and wanted to share this to somebody and where else can I, better than this forum?
Yesterday I received a mail (which is actually a reply to mine) from my childhood friend, who is currently on a short-term official visit to London. One sentence in his mail shook my entire equilibirum; I quote, "but my state of mind was not that good u know my father expired 3 months b4." Unquote.
I did not know that his father passed away! He is my childhood best friend and we share all secrets(**I really mean all secrets**) and here I am not even aware of his father's demise. Damn it, itz been 3 freaking months & I am still unaware of this!!! I am completely depressed from yday.
What troubles me the most is that: my parents live just 3 houses away from their house!!! And even they are not aware of it!!! Freak! I still remember that during my school days, when my father raises his voice my friend would hear it in his house! And now, my parent's are not even aware of this tragedy! Can ye believe it?
What is happening to this world?? Why so much of lonliness? Why is that in search of individualism we are losing the fun of being part of a society? Why is that I am not aware of who is my neighbour and what is happening to him/her? Where the freak are we heading?
Buddy, I know you are not in a habit of blogging but if ye is reading this then just remember that I am always there for you.

I believe its the composition of both in most of the cases .......
Yes I believe we are societally not as close as we were in our past , blame it on fast pace lives , blame it on luxuries becoming necessities , blame it on anything at the end of the day all turns to us and we might have to blame ourselves for that ....... we need to change for a better tomorrow ......

Nope PV. This cannot be applied here. Think of it, he cannot call me & tell me his father expired. Nobody wants to talk about it rite? And I would have never guessed such a tragedy. But one thing is that I should have kept in touch with him more often. Which is true!!
we might have to blame ourselves for that ....... we need to change for a better tomorrow ......

yes... i agree with what PV said.. its we who r to be blamed... we jus find some reason to blame others.. but true sometimes this kind of mechanical life we r leading make us also machines.. so, we really don't think much beyond our work.. isn't it?

Good post... it's true... we're distancing ourselves from people, and people are distancing themselves from us... our life is moving so fast that we tend to think that no one has time to listen to anyone else's woes anymore... which is true at times... sad... :(
But I believe that between friends, if we really care, we will be in the loop.
Lets just put it this way- Times change, the world changes, people change and hence we all do as well

How true? I wud emphasize that care alone does not matter but contact also matters. Which is where I lack completely! :-(

May be true. We are so bothered in not coming out of our comfy zone to find out about our friends too. So sad.

True. I dont have time to socialize would a loser's statement. But currently I would make this only. But, yeah, dont curse me :-)
