Eklavya - A Majestic Beautiful No-Nothing

to...
pv: I know. I know. I am just playing it safe & praying. And thanks dude for the financial help offer. Can ye plz transfer $55,000 to my a/c! ;-)

The day was boring, as in nothing much was happening. Also I had not-a-so-good-time with the ICICI bank. As they money is still @ large. I was just riding by Hyd Central and I decided to watch a movie. I just went in and bought a ticket.

I went and saw this movie. I have my own opinions on it. Read further for my opine.

If you want a short one, just note that if you are not a creative-freak KEEP OFF FROM THE MOVIE SCREEN

The movie starts with a usual period film start. A commentary from the legendary voice in the industry - Big B's. Damn good voice. Then the screen is filled with a beautiful face of a dying Sharmila Tagore and a weird looking Boman Irani. They are accompained by a beautiful Raima Sen. Sharmila passes away then in next few scenes the sexy hulk Saif is flown in (literraly); followed by the super sexy Vidya Balan.

Until now every body in the audience is smiling for they saw somebody whom they wanted to see. The oldies saw AB & Sharmila, the middle aged saw Boman Irani and youth Vidya, Saif & Raima....

And thats the last time ye will see them smiling... For from now-onwards the audience (which includes ye) is taken an amazing ride filled with great sets + background scores. The directorial touch is seen in every scene. Every scene takes you by a awe. The background score is superb. There is only one song and its fabulous too. But, what strikes you the most is the confusion.

It looks like the director is confused in telling you what he wanted to. Frankly, when you step out of the hall, ye are left thinking what in heavens' did he try to convey? The acting is superb, so you cannot blame on the actors. So is the dialogues. The background score has done its job in giving you the feel of the emotion but then something is definitely missing. Slowly it dawns on you that there was simply no story what so ever.

PROs -
      Star Cast: Impressive
      Acting: Quite Good
      Cinematography: Excellent
      Background Scores: Simply Superb
      Sets: Mind Boggling
      Per Scene direction: Fabulous
      Directorial Touch: Scene-after-Scene

CONs -
      Cohesion b/w scenes: Not bad
Story line: Hmmm... gotta look for one
Screen Play: For this story line its great.

Is it a casual watch?
Nope! If you want to watch movie only for fun, then plz keep off this movie. You will left with a sad feeling. As there is nothing commercial about this movie other than the cast.

Then who can watch this?
Fellas who are interesting in creative cinema! This movie is full of creativity. Starting from the story till the climax, from the music to sets, also the cinematography is superb. Worth watching for a creativity freak. Its a must for a DFT students but not for story writers :-)

Will you go again?
Yes. Provided I have a good company who can appreciate the hard-work and behind-the-scene works. I was once involved in a short movie-making for my class & I know the stuff that goes behind. So when you see this movie you can feel the work & concentration of the behind-sceners...

In Short, for commercial public its is a
Eklavya - A Majestic Beautiful No-Nothing

but for DFTs & creative-freaks its

So inexperienced I am!!!

to...
saka: Copy cat. :-) Anyways, i will be more than happy not to sue you for overriding my copyright.
pv: hope to be regular, in the future. lets see. :-)

This week had been a nice roller-coaster ride for me. I had few highs & one lonely but a big low

The week that went by was interesting. There were highs but I am not gonna tell about them. I am gonna tell about my one lonely but a hig low. I had lent few thousands to my friend and he has till date failed to return.... Now what should I do?

This guy concerned was a junior in my college. I lent him 30-grand as he desperately wanted that to finish some Tax related work. And he promised to return the amount by 8th of this month. Believing his words, literally, I lent him the entire amount, which literally cut my bank balance to near zero. I did not work on the unexpected. Now he has not returned to amount to me and I am broke, to say the least. I have loads of financial commitments and I am not sure how I am gonna manage it. And to top it all, today is my credit card's due date. :-(

Now what I am pissed off with this fella is his indifference towards returning. Should he not take responsibility in returning the amount to me? He did not return my call or return my sms for few days. And then after few days he started giving reasons like he is out of town & such stuff. And, now the latest development is that he has depositted the cash in one of the ICICI's branch on Friday. But till now it has not reached me. What in heaven's I am supposed to do???

When I contact him, he says that he cannot do anything bcoz he has depositted the amount and so his work is over. Now its bank's responsibility to credit the amount to me. Wow! I loved this commited statement from him. I wish to kick his butt but i cannot until the amount reaches my hand. Unfair world! You cannot do certain things bcoz other things are dependent are on this.

Anyways, I am keeping my fingers' crossed and wait for a miracle to happen. Nothing short of miracle, can save me from the clutches of the banks' who have graciously given me credit cards!!

So Inexperienced I am!!! :-( To handle such scenarios.
psst.... I wish to hell I knew what to do in such scenarios?

Brief Update!!

Planning to start a new idea of writing post. This is basically borrowed from kroopz but with a slight modification. I am planning to reply to the comments of the previous post before beginning the new post. Does that sound good? This way, I can definitely say to those who commented a more vociferous thanks. What ye say?

to...
chax: Soon dude. soon. :-)
saka: uh!! what? dude, can ye plz explain further?? :-)

This is a brief update from my side. I have been out of action from blog-world for over 3 months so thought would give a brief update from moi side.

The past 3 months to be precise from Nov 24th till date Feb 13th, had been a good roller coaster ride. Simply due to lack to time & balancing a huge pressure to make a +ve impact in office. So had to restrain from venturing into various of my online entertainments. So here is my brief update....

DEC 06-
  • Visited quite a few places on our way to a wedding. We went from B'lore to Belluru, Hallibidu, Kalasa, Hornadu. What a beauty these places are. Its a definite honeymoon spot esp Kalasa. Its the Karnataka equivalent of Munnar. Beauty par excellence. Also the architectural beauty of Belluru & Hallibidu is fabulous. I would request all those who can plz visit these places and believe me you will not regret it.
  • Attended one of my closest friends marriage. It was traditional Mangalorian Brahmin wedding. I enjoyed it. It was different but very refreshing.
  • Found a house @last. My college seniors house. Me & my other senior is sharing the house. A good house but very far from the actual happening Hyderabad.
  • Shifted my stuff from B'lore. Was a tough job. I had collected enough stuff thinking my life will be for-ever in B'lore. Way too many stuff for a bachelore, I should confess.
  • Went out with my b'lore friends to a resort and broke my ankle for the zillion-th time. Boy! My ankle's lady luck is working over-time. I am still able to run is a magic given the number of times I have twisted it.

Jan 07-
  • Spent my New Year eve fruitfully washing away my sins. Emptied my drum of mistakes & "never-do" things so that I can refill it this year again. I had been to Puttaparthy and spent a useful 3days. Prolly a very good way to start the year to come.
  • Went to B'lore the following the weekend to meet my class-mate who had come down to India. CK is doing his doctorate in US of A. Met him kinda after an year, at least. It was nice to catch up with him & the other gangsters. :-)
  • For Sankaranthi (or Pongal, for Tamilians) been to home for a lazy 3days. Spent the entire 3 days (i.e., 72hours) only on my bed and a couch near TV. In fact, one meal session I had in a spoon for not-wanting to get up to cleanse my hand. :-) Laziness is my birth right & I exercised it to the best during those days. Also this was my 1st visit after I took up this new job, so it means I am visiting after 3+ months, the longest after my college.
  • Attended one of my class-mate's wedding in Hyd, my friends had come down for it and it was fun unlimited. We enjoyed our best. Roaming in the streets of Hyd when the entire city was asleep and doing things which made the police wonder if we are terrorists! :-) For further details, log onto saka's page. click here A good update.
  • Spent one weekend purchasing stuff for my home. Bought a washing m/c and Diwan. It was my dream to set up a beautiful home, which you would love to return to from office. So in the process of setting it up. Hope I dont over do it.

Feb 07-
  • Spent another weekend cleaning my house and helped my room-mate purchasing for his trip to US of A. An official trip for 3 months.
  • LIVING A LOVELY LONELY LIFE @ MY HOUSE. FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS, I AM ALL ALONE. HYD GALS, ARE YOU LISTENING?!! :-)
  • Wanted to update my blog, and doing it so. :-)

A Beautiful Proporsal

There are loads to write after my previous post. Zillion things have happened after my Goa trip. I can fill up this post on that but I dont want to. This is come-back post is for a different reason.

I have an habit of opening my orkut account when I begin my day. I check my message & reply to my scraps. I also visit other profiles who had visited mine. Today I came across a profile that came with the name Sindu. I went through her profile and was surprised to find this beautiful poem in her profile. I took a sudden liking to this and thought I should share it with you all. Without much crap from me, here it comes....

       Feelings.....

When I saw your name next to mine,
In our wedding card,
I felt blessed.

When I saw you smile,
Seeing me in the traditional bride groom dress,
I felt teased.

When I held your hand,
During the marriage rituals,
I felt responsible.

When you entered my lonely bachelor life,
And changed it into a heavenly abode,
I felt lucky.

When you showed the same love as I did,
Towards my parents,
I felt proud.

When you scolded me,
For neglecting my heath amidst my hectic work,
I felt pampered.

When I saw you scream,
Crying out of labor pains,
I felt helpless.

When I saw tears of happiness in your eyes,
As you looked at our kid,
I felt blessed once again.

All these feeling have bloomed in my heart,
But are yet to blossom in reality.
As these are feelings I long to feel,
For these are still unfelt.

When will you marry me?
